Designer earrings range in size from small 3mm studs, to dramatic shoulder-duster lengths of 130mm.

These are a wearable dangle length - about 61mm in from top to bottom. Gold fill is a manufacturing process in which gold is permanently bonded under enormous pressure to the surface of a matching color metal alloy. This milling process results in a gold surface about 100 times thicker than conventional gold plating. The material produced is about 5% gold, so is much less expensive than solid gold. In appearance jewelry produced with 14kt gold fill is identical to jewelry produced with 14kt solid gold. The only way to tell them apart visually - even for a jeweler - is by the stamping indicating it is gold fill not solid gold. Gold fill is extremely unlikely to "wear off" and is considered fine quality, unlike base metal costume jewelry.



Caring for your designer jewelry

Periodic cleaning with very mild soapy water (lukewarm or cool) and polishing with a soft cloth will help keep your designer jewelry beautiful for years.
